We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Continental Chef

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• As a Continental Cook, you will prepare exquisite international dishes, showcasing your expertise in European, Asian, and American cuisine.
• Your creativity and attention to detail will delight our guests and enhance our hotel's culinary reputation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook international dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts
• Develop and implement new menu ideas and recipes
• Collaborate with Executive Chef and culinary team
• Ensure highest standards of food quality, presentation, and safety
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and equipment
• Train and mentor junior staff
• Participate in culinary events and promotions.

Requirements

• Culinary degree or diploma
• Certification in food safety and hygiene
• 3 - 5 years of experience as a Continental Cook or Chef de Partie
• Excellent cooking skills and knowledge of international cuisine
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Fluency in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant
• Knowledge of various international cuisines (e.g., French, Italian, Asian)
• Certification in culinary arts or related field
• Familiarity with hospitality industry standards and best practices
• Creativity and innovation in menu development.
