Job Title: Quantity Surveyor & Procurement Manager

Job Description

• We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Quantity Surveyor and Procurement Managerto join our team. 
• The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experiencein quantity surveying and procurement within the construction industry. 
• This role is crucial for managing the procurement process and ensuring the delivery of projects within budget and timeline constraints.

Key Responsibilities

• Cost Management:Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects and manage budgets throughout the project lifespan.
• Procurement Strategy:Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure timely delivery of goods and services while maintaining quality standards.
• Tender Management:Coordinate the tendering process, including the preparation of tender documents, evaluation of bids, and award of contracts.
• Contract Administration:Ensure all contracts are administered appropriately, managing variations and resolving disputes as necessary.
• Financial Reporting:Monitor and report on project costs and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Supplier Relations:Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating terms and monitoring supplier performance to ensure compliance with contracts.
• Compliance:Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations in all procurement and quantity surveying activities.
• Team Leadership:Lead and mentor junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.

Measurable KPIs

• Cost Variance: Maintain project cost within ±5% of budgeted costs.
• Procurement Efficiency: Achieve a turnaround time of procurement requests within industry standards.
• Supplier Performance: Maintain supplier performance ratings of 90% or higher based on quality and delivery.
• Project Delivery: Ensure that at least 95% of projects are completed on time and within budget constraints.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field from a recognized Private University
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Procurement Manager.
• Professional certifications (e.g., MRICS, MAPM) are advantageous.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
• Proficiency in quantity surveying tools and procurement software.
• Strong understanding of construction and procurement laws and regulations.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
