We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Storekeeper and Procurement Officer

Location: Maitama, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • Are you a skilled and experienced individual in the field of inventory management and procurement, looking for an exciting opportunity in the hotel and hospitality industry? We are currently seeking a dedicated Storekeeper and Procurement Officer to join our team and contribute to the efficient operation of our establishment. 
  • The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory management and procurement, along with relevant educational qualifications in the field. If you have a passion for maintaining organized inventory systems and ensuring timely procurement processes, we invite you to apply for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain accurate records of inventory levels and stock movements.
  • Coordinate procurement activities, including sourcing suppliers, obtaining quotations, and negotiating contracts.
  • Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as needed to ensure adequate inventory levels.
  • Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
  • Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and optimize stock turnover.
  • Oversee the receiving and inspecting of deliveries to verify quantity and quality.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Prepare purchase orders and maintain procurement documentation in compliance with company policies.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and recommend changes to improve procurement processes.
  • Collaborate with other departments to forecast inventory needs and support operational requirements.

Requirements

  • Interested candidates should possess an HND / Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory management and procurement in the hotel and hospitality industry.
  • Relevant educational qualifications in supply chain management, procurement, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control practices and procurement processes.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills to interact with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and MS Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in maintaining inventory records and procurement documentation.
