We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer (NYSC)

Locations: Abuja (FCT) & Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time, Onsite

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, analysis, and implementation of mechanical systems and components for various projects.
• Collaborate with senior mechanical engineers to interpret project requirements and specifications.
• Participate in site visits to monitor mechanical installations and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Support the preparation of technical reports, documentation, and design calculations.
• Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities for improvements in mechanical systems.
• Assist in the evaluation of vendor proposals and selection of materials and equipment.
• Help ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations in all engineering practices.
• Contribute to team discussions and brainstorming sessions to develop innovative engineering solutions.

Measurable Feedback

• Performance in this role will be evaluated based on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as:
• Quality and accuracy of engineering designs and calculations.
• Timeliness of project deliverables and adherence to deadlines.
• Effectiveness in collaboration with other team members and departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Recent graduates who are ready to begin their National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program.

Experience:

• Previous internships or practical training in mechanical engineering or related fields are highly desirable.
• Familiarity with engineering design processes and project management is a plus.

Competencies:

• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills for effective troubleshooting and optimization.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective team collaboration.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
