Job Description 

• The job of an HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) technician involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in commercial, industrial, and residential buildings. Their primary duties include:

Responsibilities

• Install and Maintain HVAC Systems: HVAC technicians are responsible for installing and maintaining heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in buildings. This includes installing new systems and repairing or replacing existing ones.
• Troubleshoot Problems: When an HVAC system is not working properly, an HVAC technician is responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting the problem. This may involve inspecting components, testing systems, and using diagnostic tools to identify the issue.
• Repair and Replace Parts: Once the problem has been identified, the HVAC technician will repair or replace the damaged components. This may involve repairing or replacing electrical, mechanical, or electronic parts.
• Perform Preventive Maintenance: HVAC technicians are responsible for performing regular preventive maintenance on HVAC systems. This may include cleaning filters, checking refrigerant levels, and inspecting components to ensure they are working properly.
• Follow Safety Procedures: HVAC technicians must follow strict safety procedures when working with HVAC systems. This may include wearing protective gear, working in confined spaces, and following proper electrical safety protocols.
• Keep Records: HVAC technicians are responsible for keeping detailed records of all work performed on HVAC systems. This includes documenting the repairs and maintenance performed, as well as any replacement parts that were used.
• Interact with Clients: HVAC technicians must be able to communicate effectively with clients and other members of the maintenance team. They may need to explain the work that was performed, provide advice on system maintenance, and answer questions about HVAC systems.

Salary
N80,000 - N120,000 / Month.
