We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Team Lead, Retail Sales (North-West)

Locations: Kaduna, Katsina, Kebbi, and Sokoto
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Responsible for expanding the company’s retail business in the upcountry location by actively seeking and acquiring new clients
• Manage customer life cycle through upselling and cross-selling of the company’s products.
• Present, promote, and sell products/services to existing and prospective customers
• Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs
• Advise clients on the insurance policies that best suit their needs
• Customize insurance programs to suit individual clients
• Lead the development of customer-centric metrics and customer management in upcountry locations.
• Improve business activities, processes, and results through quality customer management.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and support in developing frameworks for data collection, assessing, understanding, and integrating primary quantitative and qualitative customer data
• Ensure agent recruitment processes align with the company’s policies and strategy.
• Propose learning and develop initiatives to mitigate performance gaps and adapt to changes and developments in the business environment
• Ensure agent development systems are in place and aligned with the company's strategic goals.
• Evaluate and implement the right product, client, and channel mix that creates efficiencies and growth.
• Lead the development of customer-centric metrics and customer management.
• Leverage the voice of the customer in driving sales activities
• Oversee the collation of market and industry business intelligence to support effective decision-making and sales operations
• Stay abreast of market trends, customer needs, and competitor initiatives and devise strategies to optimally utilize market opportunities
• Develop a channel strategy to increase the company’s market share.

 Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Marketing, and Finance or equivalent
• 8-10 years experience with 3 – 5 years of prior experience in Insurance Sales-related roles.
• Professional certification in Insurance, sales, marketing, or any relevant field.

Technical & Behavioural Competencies:

• Excellent knowledge of the marketing techniques and regulations guiding financial institutions, especially the Insurance Industry.
• Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Individuals must be self-driven and highly proactive.
• Ability to use specialist knowledge of insurance products and services to meet complex client needs
• Negotiation skills.
• Must have or be willing to learn a broad-based insurance-related exposure and background to multi-task within a small team.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
• Proactive, resourceful, and hands-on with good initiative.
