Worknigeria - Our client, an Oil and Gas company, is recruiting suitably qualified candidates to fill the position below:

Job Title: Internal Auditor - Oil and Gas

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Purpose

• Responsible for evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.

Job Duties
Audit Planning and Execution:

• Develop and implement annual audit plans.
• Conduct audits of financial, operational, and compliance processes.
• Identify and assess areas of significant business risk.

Risk Management:

• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management processes.
• Recommend improvements to mitigate risks and enhance operational efficiency.

Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
• Review and assess the adequacy of internal controls over financial reporting.

Reporting:

• Prepare detailed audit reports with findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
• Present audit findings to senior management and the audit committee.

Follow-Up:

• Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations.
• Conduct follow-up audits to ensure corrective actions have been taken.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with other departments to gather necessary information for audits.
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, Finance or a related field
• Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, CITN is an added advantage
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Internal auditing preferably in similar industry field
• Familiar with industry specific regulations and compliance requirements.

Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary
N700,000 - N800,000 / Month.
