We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Admin / Accounts Officer

Location: Victoria lsland, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports to: Finance Manager, Office Manager, or Senior Accountant

Job Summary

  • Provide administrative and accounting support to ensure the smooth operation of the organization, handling tasks such as data entry, invoicing, and accounts payable/receivable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administrative Tasks: Perform administrative tasks, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and maintaining records and files.
  • Data Entry: Enter financial data, including invoices, payments, and journal entries, into accounting software.
  • Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices, payments, and credit notes.
  • Invoicing: Prepare and send invoices to customers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist with financial reporting, including preparing financial statements and reports.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.

Educational Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess a Diploma or Certificate in Accounting or a related field.
  • Accounting Experience_: 1+ year of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Certifications_: Certifications, such as the Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) or the Certified Bookkeeper (CB), are desirable.

Required Skills:

  • Accounting Knowledge: Basic knowledge of accounting principles, including accounts payable/receivable and financial reporting.
  • Administrative Skills: Strong administrative skills, including data entry, record-keeping, and communication.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in financial data entry and reporting.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Communication Skills: Good communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to interact with colleagues, customers, and suppliers.

Working Conditions:

  • Office Environment: Work in an office environment, with minimal travel required.
  • Flexible Schedule: Flexible schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends, may be required.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with accounting standards, regulations, and software.
  • Resumption immediately

Salary
Starting from N80,000 / Month.
