Job Title: Business Development Manager

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities to increase revenue and market share.
• Generate leads and bring in businesses both in loans and investment.
• Implement the company’s business development and marketing strategies.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
• Assess creditworthiness of potential clients and recommend credit facilities.
• Prepare and deliver compelling business proposals to attract new clients.
• Contribute to the company’s growth strategies by identifying emerging market trends and opportunities.
• Oversee the loan portfolio to ensure timely repayments and minimal default rates.
• Research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services - or new ways of reaching the existing markets.
• Ensure to effectively monitor accounts under management.
• Ensure the use of sound credit judgment to maintain credible loans and reduce the number of non-performing loans to the barest minimum.

Qualification and Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
• 3+ years of experience in business development and credit Management in the financial services sector.
• Strong knowledge of credit analysis, risk assessment, and financial products.
• Proven track record of achieving business development targets.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
