What You’ll Do

• Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive financial strategy aligned with SAO Group’s overall vision and the specific needs of each subsidiary.
• Oversee the Head of Corporate Finance and ensure the efficient execution of financial activities.
• Secure optimal financing solutions, including debt, equity, and mergers & acquisitions, to fuel business expansion and strategic initiatives.
• Partner with the CEO and executive team to develop and implement strategic plans, ensuring financial alignment with business objectives.
• Foster a culture of excellence within the finance department, leading and motivating a team of skilled finance professionals.
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, lenders, and regulatory bodies.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and accounting standards.

Who You Are

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; an MBA, ICAN/CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation is a strong plus and preferred.
• A seasoned and accomplished CFO with a minimum of 15+ years of experience in a senior financial leadership role within a complex, multi-subsidiary organization.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful financial strategies, driving growth, and profitability.
• In-depth knowledge of financial modeling, valuation techniques, capital markets, and risk management principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset and a keen eye for detail.
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team, build rapport with stakeholders at all levels, and effectively communicate complex financial information.

• Deep understanding of the African business landscape, regulatory environment, and economic trends.
• Experience working within complex holding structures and managing multiple subsidiaries.
• Proven ability to identify and implement innovative financial solutions.
