Job Summary

• Our client is currently seeking smart and experienced candidates to fill the Finance and Account Lead role to join their team. 
• As the Finance Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring a finance function and supporting operational and strategic decision-making. 
• This role offers an exciting opportunity for a finance professional to contribute to the success of a dynamic business in a fast-paced, evolving industry.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full finance and accounting function.
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings.
• Prepare monthly reports, tax filings, and payroll.
• Handle vendor payments, expense reimbursements, and project reporting.
• Coordinate annual audits with external auditors in Nigeria.
• Prepare consolidated financial reports.
• Honest, process/procedure-driven, and capable of generating financial reports as required from time to time.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.
• Reconcile accounting ledgers.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure financial visibility and alignment.
• Provide effective leadership and management to the finance team, fostering collaboration, professional growth, and accountability to achieve organizational goals.
• Promote cross-departmental collaboration by facilitating effective communication and alignment between finance and other teams.

Education, Qualification and Experience

• A Chartered Accountant with not less than 7 years post-qualification relevant experience preferably in a retail environment, is an added advantage.
• CGMA, CPA, or ACCA qualification (or similar accounting qualification)
• Experience within a start-up or established high-growth company
• Strong knowledge of internal controls and financial reporting
• Highly proficient in MS or Google productivity tools
• Reports presentation skill
• Good communication skills.
• Proximity to the Lagos Island.
