Job Title: Machine Operator - Milacron Machines

Job Summary

• We are seeking a skilled and reliable Machine Operator to join our production team.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating Milacron machines to manufacture high-quality parts and products efficiently.
• The operator will ensure proper machine setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting, maintaining production schedules while adhering to quality standards and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities
Machine Setup & Operation:

• Set up, operate, and monitor Milacron injection molding machines and associated equipment.
• Program machine parameters based on specifications for different production runs.
• Monitor machine operations to ensure consistent output and adjust settings as needed to maintain quality standards.

Production Monitoring:

• Inspect parts produced for defects and ensure conformity to specifications.
• Conduct quality checks and document data such as weight, size, and dimensions using measurement tools.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and perform basic repairs when necessary.

Maintenance & Housekeeping:

• Perform routine machine maintenance and keep machines clean and well-maintained.
• Follow maintenance schedules and report any mechanical failures to the maintenance team.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to adhere to safety and health standards.

Safety Compliance:

• Follow all company safety guidelines, machine-specific operating procedures, and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Report any safety hazards or incidents immediately to the supervisor.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain accurate production records, including machine performance, downtime, and product quality.
• Communicate with team members and supervisors regarding any issues or production delays.

Qualifications

• B.Sc, HND, High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in machine operation or manufacturing is a plus.
• 2 years experience operating Milacron machines or similar CNC/Injection Molding equipment.
• Strong understanding of machine controls, operating procedures, and maintenance techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and blueprints.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and commitment to following safety standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage time effectively, and meet production deadlines.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Manual dexterity to handle machinery and tools.
• Good vision and hearing to monitor machine performance and detect issues.

Work Environment:

• Manufacturing floor with exposure to machine noise, heat, and vibration.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and must be worn at all times.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Experience with Milacron's specific models and controls is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of injection molding processes and troubleshooting skills.
