Job Title: NextJs Developer

Employment Type: Contract (6 months)

About the Role

• We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Front EndandBackend Developer with expertise in Next.js,TypeScript, and React-Queryto spearhead thec ontinued development of our existing talent hiring web application.
• You will play a crucial role in enhancing the user experience, fixing bugs, implementing new features, and giving the application a modern facelift using the latest tools and technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Revamp and maintain the frontend/backend of our talent hiring web app usingNextJS, TypeScript, and React-Query.
• Debug, optimize, and improve existing features for scalability and performance.
• Design and implement new features based on product requirements.
• Modernize the application's UI/UX, incorporating the latest design trends and best practices.
• Collaborate with the team to facilitate the successful release of the web application
• Collaborate on new feature development, from ideation to deployment.
• Integrate DevOps best practices for CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Docker).
• Ensure code quality through testing frameworks like Jest or Cypress.

What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 5+ years in full-stack development with a portfolio showcasing NextJS, TypeScript, and React-Queryprojects.

Technical Skills:

• Expertise in Node.js, Express.js, REST APIs, and PostgreSQL/MongoDB.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript.
• Deep understanding of React-Query for data fetching and caching.
• Solid grasp of front-end development principles, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with back-end technologies, such as Node.js or similar.
• Proficiency in DevOps tools (Docker, AWS/GCP) and testing frameworks.
• Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Cypress).
• Strong grasp of UI/UX principles and responsive design.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).

Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proactive and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Adaptable and willing to learn new technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with localization/internationalization tools(e.g., i18next).
• Familiarity with talent-hiring platforms or HR tech.
• Knowledge of GraphQL or microservices architecture.

Stand Out With

• Certifications in AWS, Azure, or NextJS.
• UX/UI design experience (Figma, Sketch).
• Contributions to open-source projects or a robust GitHub profile.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Passion for building high-quality, user-friendly applications.

N200,000 - N400,000 per month.
