Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced Civil/Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate must be proficient in designing and supervising building and construction projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. 
• The role requires a proactive individual with a strong technical background, attention to detail, and the ability to manage projects efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Design & Planning: Develop structural designs, blueprints, and detailed engineering plans for various building and infrastructure projects.
• Supervision & Execution: Oversee construction activities on-site to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with project specifications.
• Structural Analysis: Conduct structural assessments and provide solutions for design modifications, renovations, and retrofitting of buildings.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs and construction processes adhere to local building codes, regulations, and COREN standards.
• Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with architects, contractors, and project managers to ensure seamless project execution.
• Site Inspection & Reporting: Conduct routine site visits, assess project progress, and prepare detailed reports for management.
• Problem Solving: Address engineering challenges on-site and provide technical guidance to construction teams.
• Travel & Site Assignments: Willingness to travel to project sites across different states and locations as required.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: BSc in Civil Engineering (Master’s degree will be an added advantage).
• Professional Certification: Must be a registered engineer with COREN (Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria).
• Experience: 5 - 7 years of relevant work experience in civil/structural engineering, with hands-on experience in building and infrastructure projects.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in structural design software such as AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, ETABS, or similar engineering tools.
• Strong Knowledge: In-depth understanding of building codes, construction materials, and structural integrity standards.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex engineering problems and provide effective solutions.
• Communication & Leadership: Strong teamwork, communication, and leadership skills to effectively manage construction teams and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Flexibility: Willingness to travel as required for project execution and supervision.
