N780, 000 only 10 seats are available. This is our last Assistant Driller class for the year 2015 and the first 10 registrants will be taken.
IDPE is centre accredited by the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC) and The Federal Ministry of Education Nigeria.
The Assistant Driller Training Course is accredited under Drilling Industry Training (DIT) through IADC. The certificates are recognised worldwide irrespective of the Drilling location or the contractor. Students can move abroad to look for jobs with IADC accredited certificates.
This course is combined onshore and offshore competency training. You will get trained in the classroom and later will be transferred to a Live drilling Operation for practical training by the drilling crew at the site.
Objectives: To provide to the student the knowledge and skills required for Assistant Driller position and perform the assigned tasks safely and efficiently.

Part B:
- Rig Practical Exposure on the Rig
- Candidates will be able to witness live drilling operations and combined both class and field knowledge.
- Learn Roustabout, Floorman, Derrickman and Assistant Driller Duties.

- Drilling systems and how they work
- Pick up and lay out drill string
- Inspect drill string
- Bops
- Mud pumps
- Pit valve system
- Derrick work
- How to keep pit records
- Organise crew
- Relieve driller
- Floorman level element of performance
- Use and maintain tongs, slips etc
- Maintain primary equipment
- Tripping drill string
- Maintenance drilling
- Derrickman level element of performance
- Asst. Driller level element of performance
- Training with the mud engineer
- Training with the Mud logger
- Training with the Solid Control Equipment Engineer.
- Training with the Driller on the Rig Floor.
- Training with the Directional Driller

- Training with Tool Pusher

Entry Qualification:
- OND, HND, BSc from a reputable school.
- Experience candidates with O’level will be considered.
Successful Candidate’s CV will be screened by the Drilling Companies who will in turn invite students for entry level job openings.
Course Duration: 20 Days combined class room, Rig Training and Project work.
Course Dates: November 9th – 19th 2015.
Class room: 6 days
Rig practical: 4 days
Project Work and submission: 10 days.
Training Venue: Multimix Training Centre, Tapa House 3rd Floor, Imam Dauda Street, Off Eric Moore Road, Surulere, Lagos.
