Job Title: Web Designer (Youth Corper)

Location: Gwarimpa, Abuja (FCT)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

The Opportunity

• We’re seeking a Web Designer(Youth Corper) to create visually compelling, user-centric websites and applications. 
• You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that align with client needs, leveraging modern tools (including AI-assisted design workflows) to enhance efficiency and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop responsive, modern websites using frameworks like Laravel, JavaScript, and CSS.
• Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes with tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or AI-powered assistants
• Customize and manage CMS platforms (WordPress, Drupal) and page builders (Elementor, Divi).
• Collaborate with clients to refine requirements, present designs, and iterate based on feedback.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimize sites for speed, SEO, and accessibility.
• Stay updated on industry trends, including practical applications of AI tools for design automation, content generation, or analytics.
• Troubleshoot and resolve design/functionality issues efficiently.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma / BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 1 - 2+ years of web design/development experience.

Technical Expertise:

• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP, and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with CMS platforms (WordPress, Joomla, custom dashboard templates) and page builders.
• Familiarity with design tools (Figma, Adobe Suite) and AI-powered plugins (e.g., Canva Magic Design, ChatGPT for basic code snippets).
• Proficient in Computer/IT skills.
• Knowledge of Graphic design
• Understanding and proven expertise in the use of Web design tools and Libraries such as WordPress, Joomla, Drupal HTML, XML, JavaScript, Php, CSS, Laravel, Mobirise, with Code Editors, SQL, PHP
• Excellent Skills in using page builders like WPBakery, Elementor, Divi and other e-commerce themes
• Understand and be able to optimize for cross-platform compatibility
• Practical exposure and/or experience with database integration, MY SQL Server.
• Setting up and provisioning MS Azure and AWS for web hosting
• Experience using CRMs, NetSuite or an equivalent online system would be an advantage.
• Excellent UI/UIX design expertise.
• Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.

Bonus Skills:

• Basic graphic design knowledge (Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator).
• Exposure to CRM integration (NetSuite, HubSpot).
• Basic knowledge of cloud provisioning (AWS EC2/S3, Azure App Service).
• Exposure to CRM integration (NetSuite, HubSpot).
• Understanding of AI tools for design/code efficiency (e.g., GitHub Copilot).
• Candidates living within the Gwarimpa axis will be preferred.
