Sunlight Resources Limited - A Food & Snack Production Company situated at Mushin axis of Nigeria, who has been in business for more 16 years. A business venture between father and son, Fun Snax began way back in 2005 when the dynamic duo first launched their light and fluffy cheeseballs, in their hometown of Lagos, Nigeria.

It was thanks to the success of these cheesy snacks that the pair then went onto design and craft new products for the range. Spending hours obsessing over new and exciting flavours, Fun Snax soon saw the launch of the brand’s ever-popular potato chips and their tangy shrimp cracker.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Quality Assurance / Quality Control Officer

Location: Mushin-Ladipo, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Report to: Shift Head, QA/QC
Seniority Level: Junior Level

Job Summary

• Responsible for quality assurance functions and processes.
• To carry out monitoring and measurement of quality management system processes and to ensure that product which does not conform to the product requirements is identified and controlled to prevent unintended use or delivery.
• Ability to carry out calibration and data analysis as when required.
• Carry out on-line check of processes and in-coming raw material testing.
• Liaising with production department.
• Inspecting output samples using industry-appropriate methods, such as comparing to standards, measuring dimensions and examining functionality. i.e Measure products with rulers, calipers, gauges etc.
• Checking that the assembly or production line adheres to standards and procedures and complying with legal requirements.
• Reviewing blueprints and specifications to compare to produced goods.
• Recording inspection results by completing reports, summarizing re-works and wastes and inputting data into quality database.
• Training the production team on quality control measures to improve product excellence
• Proposing improvements to the production process.
• Keeping measurement equipment operating accurately by following calibration requirements and calling for repairs.
• Monitor operations to ensure that they meet production standards.
• Recommend adjustments to the assembly or production process.
• Inspect, test, or measure materials or products being produced
• Accept or reject finished items.
• Remove all products and materials that fail to meet specifications.
• Report inspection and test data such as weights, temperatures, grades, moisture content, and quantities inspected.

Requirements

• HND, B.Sc. Degree in relevant field.
• More than 2 years experience (from similar industry)

Specifications / Skills:

• Must be able to prepare and submit in time periodic reports relating to job function and task performed.
• Must have the following skill: Problem solving, Computer Proficiency, Adaptability, Quality driven, Communication, Organisation, Multi-Tasking and Analytic.

Salary
N80,000 - N100,000 per month.
