Job Description

• We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and experienced Mathematics and Science Teacher to join our academic team. 
• The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching mathematics and science to students, fostering a love for these subjects, and helping students develop strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills. 
• The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the curriculum, be able to differentiate instruction, and inspire students to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons in mathematics and science, in line with the school’s curriculum and educational goals.
• Create a positive, interactive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes a love for mathematics and science.
• Use a variety of teaching methods, including practical activities, experiments, and technology, to make lessons engaging and accessible to all students.
• Monitor and assess student progress through regular assignments, tests, and projects, providing feedback to students and parents.
• Differentiate lessons to meet the diverse learning needs of students, including those with special educational needs (SEN) and those who need extra challenges.
• Encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in students.
• Provide a safe and supportive classroom environment, ensuring student well-being and adhering to school policies on behavior management.
• Collaborate with other teachers to ensure a well-rounded, integrated approach to teaching.
• Participate in extracurricular activities, school events, and staff development programs.
• Stay up-to-date with current trends in mathematics, science, and education, and apply new teaching strategies where appropriate.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Mathematics, Science, or a related field.
• Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
• A minimum of 2 years of experience teaching mathematics and science at the [specific grade level, e.g., secondary or upper primary] level.
• Strong knowledge of the mathematics and science curriculum, including practical application and experiments.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students in both mathematics and science subjects.
• A passion for teaching and a commitment to student success and well-being.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
• Proficiency with technology and digital tools used in the teaching of mathematics and science.
