Job Summary

• We are seeking a School Accountant to manage our financial records, oversee transactions, and ensure proper financial planning and accountability.
• The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, analytical, and proficient in financial management.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records, including income, expenses, and budgets.
• Prepare financial reports, statements, and reconciliations.
• Manage school fees collection, track payments, and follow up on outstanding fees.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
• Process invoices, payroll, and other financial transactions.
• Assist in preparing and monitoring the school’s budget.
• Maintain proper documentation of financial records for audit purposes.
• Collaborate with management to develop financial strategies for sustainability.
• Provide financial guidance and support for school operations.

Job Requirements

• B.Sc / HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in accounting, preferably in a school or similar organization.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or other relevant tools).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Must reside within or around Kubwa, FCT.
