Job Title: Business Development Officer

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • Proforce Air Systems is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development Officer to drive growth and expand our market presence. 
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, building strong relationships with key clients and partners, and contributing to the overall strategic direction of the company. 
  • This role requires a proactive, strategic thinker with a proven track record of success in business development, preferably within related industry.

Responsibilities
Market Research & Analysis:

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify potential new markets, customer segments, and applications for Proforce Air Systems' products and services.
  • Analyze competitor activities and market trends to identify opportunities and develop competitive strategies.
  • Assess the feasibility of new business ventures and strategic partnerships.

Lead Generation & Qualification:

  • Generate leads through proactive outreach, networking, attending industry events, and utilizing online resources.
  • Qualify leads to determine their potential and alignment with Proforce Air Systems' offerings.
  • Manage and maintain a robust sales pipeline.

Relationship Building & Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and industry influencers.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for potential and existing clients.
  • Develop and implement strategies for fostering long-term client loyalty and satisfaction.

Sales & Business Development Activities:

  • Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients and partners.
  • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop and execute integrated business development campaigns.
  • Achieve or exceed established sales targets and business development goals.

Strategic Planning & Reporting:

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the company's overall business development strategy.
  • Provide regular reports on business development activities, progress, and results.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, new technologies, and regulatory changes.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering (related field), or a related discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the air systems industry (HVAC, air purification, industrial air solutions), and related technologies a significant advantage.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
