Job Title: Business Development Executive

Job Description
The Business Development Executive is responsible for driving sales growth and expandingmarket share.
This role involves identifying and developing new business opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and promoting Alfa Laval's comprehensive portfolio of products and solutions.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets in a B2B environment.
Responsibilities
Market Analysis and Opportunity Identification:
Conduct thorough market research to identify potential customers and new business opportunities.
Analyze industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to develop effective sales strategies.
Identify and target key decision-makers within target organizations.
Sales and Business Development:
Generate and qualify leads through various channels, including cold calling, networking, and industry events.
Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
Negotiate and close sales contracts, ensuring profitable and sustainable business relationships.
Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets and KPIs.
Promoterange of products and solutions, including heat exchangers, separators, pumps, and other fluid handling equipment.
Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
Provide technical support and product expertise to customers.
Address customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
Gather and provide customer feedback to internal teams to improve product and service offerings.
Collaboration and Reporting:
Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and engineering, to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities and customer interactions in CRM system.
Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review.
Attend and represent Alfa Laval at industry trade shows and conferences.
Technical Understanding:
Be able to discuss technical specifications and solutions with clients.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field.
Proven track record of success in business development or sales, preferably in a B2B industrial environment.
Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand complex technical concepts.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Ability tobuild and maintain strong customer relationships.
Self-motivated,results-oriented, and able to work independently.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Industry knowledge in one or more of the following: Marine, Energy, Food & Water is a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
Industry experience in procurement engineering.
Knowledge of Alfa Laval products is a plus.
Proximity to Lekki, Lagos State.
