We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Auditor

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities
Audit Planning & Execution:

• Develop and implement risk-based audit approaches, leading audit teams during fieldwork.
• Conduct comprehensive audits of financial statements, processes, and controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Financial Statement Review:

• Examine financial statements to verify accuracy, completeness, and adherence to accounting standards.
• Identify discrepancies or irregularities and provide recommendations for corrective actions.

Internal Control Evaluation:

• Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and identify areas of improvement.
• Recommend enhancements to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulations.

Reporting:

• Prepare detailed audit reports outlining findings, conclusions, and actionable recommendations.
• Communicate audit results to senior management and stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Compliance Assurance:

• Ensure that financial practices comply with relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
• Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and accounting standards to provide accurate guidance.

Client Relations:

• Maintain professional relationships with clients, providing insights and recommendations to improve financial operations.
• Address client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.

Qualifications & Skills
Education & Certification:

• BSc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification such as ACCA, ICAN, or equivalent is highly desirable.

Experience:

• 2 - 4 years proven experience in external auditing, with a strong understanding of audit methodologies and regulations.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Work Environment:

• Typically, office-based with potential travel to client sites.
• May involve extended working hours during peak audit periods.
