Job Description
As a Sales & Marketing Officer (RS&MO) (Port Harcourt), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of the Company's sales and marketing activities in your region by developing HORECA, MOTs, Distributors and Strategic Wholesalers.
Responsibilities
Achieving Growth and Sales Target:
Oversee the sales and marketing activities within your region to ensure that set targets are met and the business grows significantly.
Develop initiative to sell and promote the Company’s products in the region.
Analyze sales records, customer accounts, and research new sales opportunities.
Distributors and Outlets Enlistments & Management:
Enlist and effectively manage MOTs, Distributors and HORECA in assigned region through effective business development.
Keep an up-to-date outlet universe in your region to aid outlets enlistment.
Carry out effective implementation of your region Route to Market (RTM) coverage plan and brand building initiative.
Dedicate one hundred (100) percent of your time while fully overseeing the region’s business as assigned.
Customer Relationship Management:
Build Customers’ Relationships by establishing and maintaining positive relationships with each customer and other business partners in the region and create database.
Establish and build positive relationships about the company’s offerings with customers.
Build an effective communication chain with customers.
Resolve/mitigate customers complaints or issues within a reasonable time.
Business Plan Development:
Develop regional business plans and strategies for your assigned area/territory.
Carry out client Interaction by visiting existing and potential customers, explaining product features, and securing sales contracts.
Analyse your sales territories/region for business development and make necessary adjustments as needed.
Sales Forecasting:
Accurately predict the region’s future sales, which is critical for aligning inventory with anticipated demand, ensuring customer satisfaction and optimizing revenue.
Analyse market trends, historical sales data, and seasonal influences to make informed decisions on stock levels and promotional strategies.
Conduct sales forecasts to determine financial objectives and target markets in the assigned Area/Region.
Budget Preparation:
Prepare and submit the region’s annual budgets with detailed expenditure for approval.
Ensure your region adhere strictly to this budget, company policies and procedures.
Reporting:
Generate sales reports weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually from region’s sales team and make a timely report.
Present periodic reports on region’s sales operations to the National sales & Marketing Manager.
Competition and Industry:
Monitor competitor activities within your region and inform the Management.
Provide weekly report on competition analysis.
Research on new competitive brands opportunities and inform the Management.
Requirements
B.Sc in Marketing, Business Administration or any Social Sciences.
2- 4 years sales and marketing experience in Wines and Spirits company.
Knowledge of South-East and South-South Regions.
