Job Title: Maths and Chemistry Teacher

Location: Lagos

Position Overview

  • We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Mathematics and Chemistry Teacher to join our academic team. 
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both mathematics and chemistry, with the ability to deliver engaging lessons that foster analytical thinking and scientific inquiry.

Key Responsibilities
Instructional Duties:

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans for mathematics and chemistry, ensuring alignment with curriculum standards.
  • Teach mathematics topics such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, statistics, and pre-calculus.
  • Instruct chemistry concepts, including elements, compounds, reactions, and laboratory techniques.
  • Create and supervise laboratory experiments, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.

Student Assessment and Support:

  • Design and administer assessments to evaluate student understanding and progress.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students.
  • Offer additional support to students requiring assistance, adapting teaching methods to diverse learning styles.

Curriculum Development:

  • Collaborate with department colleagues to design and update curriculum materials.
  • Incorporate innovative teaching strategies, including project-based learning, to enhance student engagement.

Professional Development:

  • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.
  • Engage in departmental and school-wide meetings, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Chemistry, Education, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Valid teaching certification in [State/Country], with endorsements in Mathematics and Chemistry.
