We provide interventions and initiatives, design, deploy and execute systems that aid to alleviate the human development challenges around Africa which is our primary catchment area.

Job Summary

• We are looking for highly motivated and dedicated AI/ML Engineers who need experience and are willing to volunteer their skill to join our Project.

Key Responsibilities
Model Development and Deployment:

• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models using various algorithms and techniques, including deep learning, natural language processing, and computer vision.
• Build scalable and efficient machine learning pipelines for data preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, and evaluation.
• Deploy and monitor machine learning models in production environments, ensuring high performance and reliability.
• Optimize model performance through hyperparameter tuning, architecture design, and algorithm selection.

Data Engineering and Management:

• Collaborate with data engineers to design and implement data pipelines for collecting, cleaning, and transforming large datasets.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to identify patterns and insights that can inform model development.
• Develop and maintain data storage and retrieval systems for machine learning applications.

Research and Innovation:

• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI/ML research and technologies.
• Conduct research and experimentation to evaluate new algorithms and techniques.
• Contribute to the development of innovative AI/ML solutions.
• Implement state of the art techniques.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and product managers.
• Communicate technical concepts and findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Participate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Work to improve existing workflows.

System Design:

• Design and implement scalable machine learning systems.
• Consider system performance, reliability, and security in design decisions.

Qualifications & Requirements
Education:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field. PhD preferred in some roles.

Technical Skills:

• Strong programming skills in Python and proficiency in machine learning libraries and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
• Experience with deep learning, natural language processing, and/or computer vision.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of statistical concepts and machine learning algorithms.
• Experience with data analysis and manipulation tools (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Experience with MLOps practices.
