Job Summary

• We are seeking a talented Senior Internal Auditor who will be responsible for evaluating and improving the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes within the company.
• This role involves planning and executing audits, identifying areas for operational improvement, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing recommendations to enhance efficiency and reduce risks.

Position Responsibilities

• Develop and execute internal audit plans, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits across various departments.
• Assess risks and internal controls, identifying weaknesses and recommending improvements.
• Prepare detailed audit reports, summarizing findings, risks, and suggested corrective actions.
• Monitor and follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations.
• Ensure adherence to internal policies, industry regulations, and legal standards.
• Collaborate with management to enhance processes and operational efficiency.
• Assist in fraud investigations and special audit assignments as required.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and changes in regulatory requirements.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior auditors, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Perform other job-related duties that may be assigned by the supervisor.

Educational Requirements

• The candidate should have at least, BSc or HND in Accounting, Finance or a related field.

Core Competencies:

• 5-7 years post NYSC experience as an Internal Auditor.
• Professional certification such as CIA, CPA, ACCA, or CISA.
• Strong knowledge of auditing standards, risk assessment, and internal control frameworks.
• Experience with data analytics tools and audit software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
• Be proficient in using audit accounting tools, data analysis tools and Microsoft Office Applications.
