Procurement Executive at JC International

JC International provides World Class specialist Asset Integrity Assurance and Training services throughout the Asset life-cycle.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title:  Procurement Executive 

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Responsibilities

• Identify reliable suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services at the best possible price.
• Implement cost saving initiatives, conducting cost analysis, and budgeting for procurement activities.
• Implement supplier selection and evaluation procedure.
• Ensures there is a service of agreement in place that defines business relationship management with the company’s major vendors before commitment.
• Ensure adherence to the approved Supplier agreements/contracts.
• Leads and develops a network of both internal and external partners to gather and analyze market information and trends.
• Has in-depth knowledge of the market and knows the strengths and weaknesses of suppliers
• Conduct after check to ensure that suppliers render services in accordance with regulations and meet their commitments.
• Sources and purchases goods in the most efficient and cost-effective method in accordance with company procedures.
• Ensures LPOs are generated prior to commitment and GR is performed within the agreed date of goods receipt or service delivery.
• Ensures suppliers’ deliveries are in compliance with the Company`s QHSE policy and requirements of the company.
• Interfaces with each Unit head in order to plan and prioritize purchasing activities to support the business operations.
• Report Supplier non-conformance to Management promptly to review business relationship.
• Organize supplier’s forum meeting to resolve any arising issues.
• Ensure that products /materials or equipment purchased directly and those supplied by vendors meet industry standard and in line with necessary products or materials manufacturers’ certificates.
• Conduct procurement negotiations and ensures continuous savings for the company. In the event of shortfalls, suggests remedial measures.

Qualification:

• B.Sc or HND in Supply Chain Management or related field
• Certification in Supply Chain and Procurement will be an added advantage
• Minimum of 4 years work experience as a Procurement personnel
• Ability to manage people/vendors
• Effective communication skills
• Cost management skills
