Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Contract

Job Purpose

• We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Electrical Engineer with expertise in building project site supervision to join our team. 
• The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the electrical installations, ensuring that all work is performed in compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and project timelines. 
• The Electrical Engineer will work closely with the project manager, contractors, and other engineering teams to ensure the successful execution of electrical systems in a building construction project.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all electrical work on the building project site, ensuring adherence to project specifications, timelines, and budget.
• Review and interpret electrical design plans and technical specifications to ensure proper installation and compliance.
• Monitor and inspect the work of contractors and sub-contractors to ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct regular site inspections and attend site meetings to review project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure the proper installation of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, security systems, and any other electrical installations relevant to the project.
• Provide technical guidance and support to project teams and contractors regarding electrical systems, designs, and installation techniques.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines (mechanical, civil, structural) to ensure the integration of electrical systems with other building services.
• Ensure compliance with local electrical codes, standards, and regulations throughout the project.
• Maintain detailed records of inspections, approvals, and any changes made during the course of the project.
• Assist in resolving electrical-related issues or disputes that may arise during the construction process.
• Support the preparation of project documentation, including reports, progress updates, and as-built drawings.

Qualifications

• Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree with 5 - 10 years work experience.
