We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Driver 

Location: Owo, Ondo
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• We are seeking a reliable and experienced Driver to join our team. 
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and passengers in a safe and timely manner, ensuring the vehicle is well-maintained, and providing excellent customer service when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicles to transport goods, passengers, or equipment safely and efficiently.
• Adhere to traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
• Ensure the vehicle is clean, fueled, and maintained regularly, reporting any issues promptly.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips.
• Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, and maintenance needs.
• Assist with loading and unloading goods as required.
• Provide exceptional customer service, addressing concerns or queries when interacting with clients or passengers.
• Follow scheduled routes or plan alternative routes to ensure timely delivery or arrival.
• Support in the organization of logistics and deliveries as needed.
• Ensure timely reporting of any accidents or incidents.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience as a driver with a good understanding of road safety and vehicle operations.
• Ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting and loading.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with customers.
• Familiarity with GPS devices and navigation systems.
• Knowledge of local routes within Ondo State and traffic patterns is a plus.
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with different types of vehicles (e.g., light trucks, delivery vans, or passenger vehicles).
• Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.
• Previous experience in logistics or delivery services.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit, drive, and handle the vehicle for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items as needed.
• Ability to work irregular hours, including evenings or weekends if required.
