Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation is a non-profit, non-government organization based in Kaduna. The organization's thematic areas of focus are Agriculture and Environment, Education and Human Capacity Development, Women and Child Development, Health, Leadership and Governance, Conflict Management and Peace Building, Economic Empowerment, Wealth Creation and Innovation.
We are seeking to employ suitable and qualified candidates for the following positions in our Kaduna office:
Job Title: Senior Programme Officer
The Senior Programme Officer will work closely with the Director of Programmes and should have a good understanding of sectors and systems in Nigeria and best practices for improvement. The person should also have strong evaluation and research background, understand program development within these sectors in Nigeria and put these into practical use in grant making.
Requirements
- A university degree or HND in Social Sciences, Humanities, Health Sciences, Agricultural, Environmental Sciences or Education.
- A masters degree will be an added advantage;
- Experience with grant making and policy analysis
- Minimum of 5 years experience in planning, formulation, monitoring and assessment of programmes and projects
- Experience in working and partnering with donor agencies, international NGOs, government ministries, directorates and agencies coupled with an understanding of sector-wide approach
- Experience in designing, producing and managing programmes
