A leading independent Oil and Gas exploration and Production company in Nigeria, is recruiting an experienced and qualified candidates to fill the position below:

Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Location: Nigeria

Job Function

• The candidate for this role will manages the company's financial operations, including financial planning, reporting, budgeting, cash management, and risk management, as well as ensuring financial sustainability and growth, and compliance with regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, cash management, and financial planning of the Company. 
• Oversee the company's accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
• Provide financial leadership and support to the executive team, board of directors, and other stakeholders.
• Responsible for managing the company's financial operations
• Develop financial strategies that align with the company's strategic goals and objectives
• Ensure the necessary financial resources needed for achieving Company's strategic goals and objectives are available
• Identify and manage financial risks, such as credit and market risks, and develop risk management strategies. 
• Develop and manage the company's financial planning and analysis processes, including budgeting, forecasting. and financial reporting.
• Manage the company's cash, investments, and debt to ensure optimal cash management and efficient use of financial resources.
• Ensure the company complies with tax laws and regulations and optimise tax strategies to minimise tax liabilities
• Prepare and review financial statements and reports for management, investors, and regulatory agencies.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards, including, LIRS, FIRS and IFRS GAAP and IFRS.
• Manage the finance team, including hiring, training, and performance management.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess a minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting. or a related field
• Master's Degree such as an MBA or in Accounting is an added advantage.
• Professional certification such as ICAN, CFA, ACCA is compulsory
• Must have a minimum of 15 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related field and have experience in other executive roles.
• Strong understanding of the industry and financial operations are required.
• Must be ready to work under pressure
• Good proficiency with MS Office suite - Excel/ PowerPoint/Word/Project.
• Must be analytical and have an eye for detail. 
• Must have good written and oral communication skills.
