Job Title: Senior Civil / Construction Engineer

Location: Nigeria

Job Description

• The civil / construction engineer will be responsible for overseeing Company's medium and large civil construction projects, inspecting project drawings and designs as well as managing project schedules and resources, and perform cost calculations.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for planning, designing and managing construction projects, and ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
• Overseeing the civil engineering processes of Company's Construction projects and performing cost calculations, allocation and preparing financial
  projections.
• Contributing technical expertise to project drawing and designs
• Preparing work schedules in collaboration with the project Manager(s).
• Performing regular tests on materials and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
• Ensuring that the construction project is completed on time and within budget
• Documenting processes and keeping detailed construction logs.
• Presenting construction project progress updates to line manager and senior managers.
• Performing regular tests on materials and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
• Inspecting project sites to monitor progress and adherence to design specifications, safety protocols, and environmental regulations
• Report regularly on project status to senior management and clients

Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related field.
• A Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering will be an added advantage.
•  Candidate must possess relevant Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Candidate must possess Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Construction Manager Certificate (CCM).
• A minimum of fifteen (15) years of relevant experience in an E&P company with a track record of civil / construction engineering design and operations of oil & Gas facilities.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
• Proficient in CAD software and MS Office; familiarity with project management software.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a high level of accuracy in calculations and design.
• Ability to lead and motivate teams, handling multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
• In-depth knowledge of construction industry regulations.
• Exceptional leadership, project management, decision- making, and problem-solving skills.
• Organizational, and time-management skills.
• Must have keen eye for details and strong project management capabilities.
• Must be able to adept at balancing multiple project demands, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Must be able to meet professional standards and regulatory requirements.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of Management and Contactors.
• Must be result oriented and committed to company goals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
