Pathway Asset Management Limited (PAM) was incorporated by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and licensed by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as a Funds/Portfolio Manager. Focused on wealth creation and preservation to retail, HNIs, government and institutional investors.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Investment Research Analyst

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Mode of Work: Onsite

Job Summary

• The Investment Research Analyst is responsible for conducting thorough research and analysis on investment opportunities to support the firm’s asset management strategies. This role involves evaluating financial data, monitoring market trends, preparing comprehensive reports, and providing insights to optimize investment portfolios.

Job Responsibilities

• Ability to undertake research design, data collection, analysis and production of insightful stimulating reports.
• Scan the market for areas of comparative advantage.
• Ability to use data collected and analyzed to guide business decision making.
• Keep up with investment/financial news, update their colleagues so as to catch up with movers in the market, issue and update reports.
• Support the Portfolio Manager to combine top–down macroeconomic analysis and bottom – up fundamental analysis to find high quality businesses with sustainable competitive advantage.
• Prepare a concise report on market conditions such reports are expected to offer short-term forecasts for the market or for sectors of relevance to the company’s Portfolios.
• Prepare a report analyzing current and prospective portfolio holdings that will contribute to generating investment ideas across different asset classes and industries.
• Support the Portfolio Manager in researching and identifying companies that are mispriced and offer high prospect of superior returns.
• Prepare weekly reports based on technical and fundamental analysis on selected investment opportunities, debt markets, FGN securities and other specialized fixed income securities.
• Stay updated on global market developments, regulatory changes, and emerging investment opportunities.
• Participate in investment meetings to discuss research findings and portfolio strategies.

Job Specifications

• BSc in Economics, Accounting & Finance etc
• Cognate working experience in Investment Research minimum of 2 years
• Relevant Professional qualifications is an added advantage.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
• Candidate must be able to display logical reasoning and critical thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial analysis software.
• Ability to work under pressure and be a good team player.
