Job Title: Baker

Location: Ketu, Lagos

Job Summary

• We are looking for a creative, skilled, and detail-oriented Baker to prepare a wide variety of baked goods including breads, pastries, cakes, and desserts. 
• The ideal candidate should be passionate about baking, possess excellent time management skills, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and food quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a variety of goods such as bread, rolls, cakes, pies, cookies, and pastries according to recipes and customer preferences.
• Measure and mix ingredients using proper baking techniques and equipment.
• Monitor oven temperatures and product appearance to achieve consistent quality.
• Decorate and finish baked products to enhance visual appeal.
• Ensure all baked goods are prepared and served on time.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the baking area, tools, and equipment.
• Monitor inventory of baking ingredients and supplies; report shortages or make requisitions.
• Experiment with new recipes and seasonal offerings under supervision or with approval.
• Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
• Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff and contribute to team goals.

Qualifications & Skills

• Proven experience as a Baker or in a similar baking role.
• Knowledge of baking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen safety.
• Ability to work early mornings or flexible shifts.
• Strong attention to detail and creative presentation skills.
• Physical stamina for standing long hours and working in a fast-paced environment.
• Certificate in Culinary Arts, Baking or Pastry is an added advantage (but not always required).
• Reliable, punctual, and passionate about baking.

Work Environment:

• Hot, fast-paced kitchen/bakery environment.
• Requires standing for long periods and handling of kitchen tools and equipment.
• May involve early morning, weekend, or holiday shifts.

Salary
N40,000 - N50,000 Monthly.
