We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Sales Manager

Location: Lagos, Nigeria
Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

  • The Sales Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets within the designated Festac - Iyanaba area. 
  • This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in sales management, particularly within the FMCG, Retail, or Banking sectors.
  • The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of sales processes. 
  • He/She will be responsible for developing and implementing effective sales strategies, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Execution:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets in the Festac - Iyanaba region.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new sales opportunities.
  •  Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting.

Team Leadership & Management:

  • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team.
  • Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Motivate and inspire the sales team to achieve individual and team goals.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, investors, and stakeholders.
  •  Provide exceptional customer service and ensure client satisfaction throughout the sales process.
  • Address client inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.

Market Analysis & Reporting:

  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential clients and market opportunities.
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports, including sales performance, market trends, and competitor analysis.
  •  Provide insights and recommendations to senior management to improve sales strategies.

Sales Process Optimization:

  •  Develop and implement efficient sales processes and procedures.
  • Utilize CRM systems to track sales activities and manage client data.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Networking and Business Development:

  • Attend industry events and networking functions to expand business connections.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with potential referral partners.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of proven sales management experience in FMCG, Retail, or Banking sectors.
  • Must reside within the Festac - Iyanaba axis, Lagos.
  • Strong understanding of sales principles, techniques, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong professional acumen and business intelligence.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Results-oriented with a strong drive to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • A valid driver's license is a plus.
