Efezi Southsea Nigeria Limited is a hospitality consultancy company established in 2009, specializing in providing expert services to small and medium-sized hotels.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accountant

Location: Abule-Egba, Lagos
 

Job Summary

• The Hotel Accountant is responsible for managing and analyzing financial information, preparing accurate financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting overall financial operations of the hotel.

Responsibilities

Financial Reporting:

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.

• Maintain accurate records of income, expenses, payroll, and other financial transactions.

• Ensure timely reconciliation of bank statements.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts.

• Monitor budget implementation and report variances.

Accounts Payable & Receivable:

• Manage supplier and customer invoices.

• Ensure timely payment of bills and collection of dues.

• Monitor aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts.

Cash Flow Management:

• Track daily cash flow and manage hotel’s liquidity.

• Ensure proper handling of cash, credit card, and other transactions.

Payroll and Taxation:

• Process staff payroll, deductions, and benefits.

• Ensure compliance with tax laws and timely remittance of statutory deductions (e.g., VAT, PAYE, etc.).

Auditing & Compliance:

• Assist with internal and external audits.

• Ensure compliance with hotel policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

Inventory Control:

• Monitor inventory levels and perform regular stock reconciliations.

• Work with procurement to ensure cost control and minimize wastage.

Financial Analysis:

• Analyze financial trends and provide insights to management for decision-making.

• Recommend strategies for revenue growth and cost optimization.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess an HND with 5 years of work experience.
• Candidates must be residents of the following areas: Agbado-Crossing, Abule-Egba, Meiran, Agbado-Ijaiye, Jankara, Agege, Ogba, Iyana Ipaja, Kola, Tollgate, Oko-Aba and surrounding environments.
