Job Title: Senior Strategy Officer (Assistant Manager or Experienced Senior Associate in Strategy and Business Transformation)

Location: Arepo, Ogun
Reports To: Managing Director
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Purpose

• The Senior Strategy Officer will play a critical role in driving business strategy, transformation, and market positioning for Coleman Wires and Cables.
• The successful candidate will utilize strategic frameworks and analytical skills to provide insights that support decision-making processes and long-term business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive market analysis, industry research, and competitive benchmarking to identify market trends and opportunities.
• Develop strategic frameworks (SWOT, PESTEL) to evaluate business challenges and opportunities.
• Provide actionable insights to leadership based on research, data analysis, and strategic recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the implementation of business strategies and transformation initiatives.
• Conduct financial analysis to assess the impact of potential strategic decisions on company performance.
• Monitor industry developments, emerging market trends, and competitive actions.
• Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership, providing clear communication of findings and strategic options.
• Support the development of long-term strategic plans and assist in the execution of business transformation projects.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
• A Master’s degree (e.g., MBA or MSc in Strategy, Finance, or Business Management) is an added advantage.
• Professional qualifications such as ICAN or ACCA are required.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategy, business transformation, or management consulting, preferably within the manufacturing or industrial sector.
• Market & Competitive Research: Strong ability to conduct market analysis, industry research, and competitive intelligence.
• Data Analysis: Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, or any other analytical tools).
• Microsoft Office: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Strategic Tools: Proficiency in strategic tools such as SWOT, PESTEL, and other business analysis frameworks.
• Financial Expertise: Proficiency in finance and financial management, with an understanding of financial statements, cost management, and budget planning (ICAN or ACCA qualifications required).
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical thinking, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and communicate complex ideas to stakeholders.
