Job Title: Examination Officer

Location: Mile 2, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• Schedule and monitor the arrival and departure of containers, taking into account shipping schedules, and customer demands.
• Coordinate and liaise with Government agencies for booking and physical inspections of containers.
• Maintain accurate records and databases of examination and inspection results, keeping track of examination schedules and compliance records.
• Enforce quality control procedures to verify the proper handling of cargo and containers, including compliance with loading and stowage regulations.
• Liaise with agents after the customs duty payment for container inspection.
• Issuing of dropping order for examination.
• Keep record of examined containers.
• Manage and process transire transactions efficiently, ensuring adherence to established procedures and timelines.
• Prepare and maintain all necessary documentation related to transire transactions, including bills of lading, invoices, customs declarations, and shipping manifests.
• Coordinate with internal departments, shipping lines, customs officials, and other stakeholders to facilitate the smooth flow of transire transactions and resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise.
• Conduct quality checks on transire documentation and transactions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Identify and resolve any issues, disputes, or discrepancies related to transire transactions promptly and effectively, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Prepare and generate reports on transire activities, transaction volumes, key performance indicators, and trends, providing insights and recommendations for process improvements.

Requirements

• HND / BSc in any field of study
• 5+ years work experience
• Attention to details
• Organizational skills
• Basic Computer Skills.
