Job Title: Accountant

Location: Magodo Phase 2, Lagos

Job Summary

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage our financial records, handle budgeting and forecasting, and ensure compliance with financial regulations. 
• The ideal candidate will be analytical, organized, and proficient in accounting software.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update financial records
• Prepare financial statements, reports, and budgets
• Manage accounts payable and receivable
• Reconcile bank statements
• Prepare and submit tax filings
• Ensure compliance with financial laws and regulations
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to management
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures
• Analyse financial data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, or areas of concern
• Manage payroll processing and ensure timely salary disbursements
• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies
• Monitor and manage cash flow, investments, and financial planning
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Assist in preparing financial forecasts and risk analysis reports
• Manage inventory accounting and cost control (if applicable) Contribute to strategic decision-making through financial analysis and reporting
• Ensure timely invoicing and collections to maintain healthy cash flow
• Handle intercompany transactions and reconciliations (if you have multiple business units)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA or ACCA certification is a plus
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience
• Proficient in Excel and other relevant tools
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
