The Marketing Department under Maon Services Ltd. currently serves multiple distillers with core focus on premium beverages, including sparkling wines, Scotch whiskey, and alcoholic energy drinks.

Job Title: Graphics Designer (Hybrid / Onsite)

Location: Ajah, Lagos

Job Summary

• We are looking for a talented and passionate Graphic Designer to join our team and bring the alcohol beverages portfolio to life through engaging and culturally resonant designs.
• The ideal candidate will have excellent ability to do storytelling through visuals, a deep appreciation for West African aesthetics, and a keen understanding of marketing trends in the beverage industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Brand Development: Create and maintain brand guidelines that reflect the rich cultural heritage of the brand appealing to both local and global audience. 
• Content Creation: Design captivating visuals for a range of marketing materials, including product labels, packaging, social media content, email campaigns, advertisements, and point-of-sale displays.
• Cultural Relevance: Infuse designs with elements inspired by Saharan culture, patterns, and landscapes, ensuring authenticity and visual impact.
• Digital & Print Production: Prepare files for print production and optimize designs for digital platforms, ensuring quality and consistency across all formats.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to understand brand objectives and deliver creative solutions that drive engagement.
• Product Launches: Design visuals for new product launches and promotional campaigns, capturing the essence and unique story of each product for both online and offline.
• Trend Analysis: Stay up to date with design and beverage industry trends to create fresh, relevant, and eye-catching content.
• Project Management: Balance multiple design projects efficiently, maintaining a high standard of creativity and meeting tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Education: At least a Bachelor’s Degree in communications arts, Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related fields.
• Experience: At least 4 - 5 years of experience in graphic design, with a strong portfolio showcasing work in branding, packaging, and digital marketing for consumer products, ideally in the wine and spirits or beverage industry.
• Design Skills: Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and familiarity with design tools like Figma or Sketch.
• Cultural Insight: A deep understanding of Saharan and African visual culture and the ability to incorporate these elements creatively.
• Attention to Detail: Strong eye for detail, color, typography, and composition, with the ability to adapt designs for various media.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and articulate design concepts clearly.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in designing for luxury or premium brands.
• Skills in motion graphics or video editing (After Effects, Premiere Pro) for dynamic social media content.
• Basic knowledge of web design and HTML/CSS.
• Illustration skills or the ability to create custom graphics.
• Familiarity with trends in the global wine and spirits marketB.
