Experienced Building and Construction Consultant at a Leading Group of Companies

We are a leading group of companies with an interest in Real Estate, Telecommunications, Banking, and Oil & Gas. Our conglomerate has plans and projects for expanding our already impressive real estate holdings in Lagos and other major cities in Nigeria and some other West African countries

To achieve this objective, we require a qualified, articulate, versatile, experienced, and proficient candidate to fill the position below:

Job Title: Experienced Building and Construction Consultant

Location: Nigeria

Responsibilities

• Advising and writing proposals on the development of real estate projects of the conglomerate
• Participating and advising on the execution of selected and approved real estate projects
• Advising on the accomplishment of organizational goals, exploring opportunities to add value to business growth
• Benchmarking and advising on rental rates; calculating overhead costs, depreciation, taxes, and profit goals
• Advising on compliance with regulatory requirements, occupancy policies and service management etc.
• Advising management on strategic planning, competitors, market trends and regulations

General Qualifications, Experience and Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Estate Management, Architecture, Engineering or other relevant field.
• A post graduate qualification or MBA will be an added advantage.
• Good working knowledge of entire real estate value chain (regulatory processes/health and safety etc.)
• Excellent negotiating, presentation and communication skills
• Proven experience in conceptualizing, formulating, writing proposals and developing prestigious real estate projects like hotels, high-rise buildings and huge estates
• Ability to put together different expertise for developing and running massive real estate projects
• Minimum of twenty (20) years’ experience in building, construction, property development/real estate/facility management environment with at least five (5) years at the development / management level
• Demonstrable provenance of high-calibre projects managed from conception to commissioning and maintenance
• Ability to establish and maintain good relationships with professionals and contractors from different backgrounds and expertise
• International experience and exposure will be an advantage
