Job Title:Business Systems Lead

Job Summary
This role oversees the finance business systems suite for the organization, including Procurement, Finance, Asset Management, Maintenance and Support, Vendor Management, AFE Creation, Budget Revision and Upload, and associated applications such as Ming.le, ION Pulse, ION Activity Desk, Federation Services, and Unity.
Additionally, the role manages the business systems on the Cloud enterprise suite and coordinates interactions for the organization.
Responsibilities include deploying new projects, implementing fixes and enhancements, monitoring system controls, and improving work processes across all business applications.
The role ensures appropriate system-related internal controls and segregation of duties by partnering with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with IT and external consultants on the analysis, design, development, implementation, enhancement, and maintenance of the Finance Business systems to meet business needs. Oversee the end-to-end change management process for business applications.
Manage the support and maintenance of business systems and interfaces to meet the company’s day-to-day operational needs. Monitor the effective performance of systems and associated accounts. Provide support to the business for monthly financial close and reporting, as well as annual budget and forecast processes.
Research financial record-keeping and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance. Enhance business systems to meet these requirements, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and record-keeping.
Supervise the Business System Analysts and resolve any escalations encounter in delivering their day-to-day.
Collaborates with stakeholders, including Internal Controls, Internal Audit, and external auditors, to address automated control testing, system-related queries, and functionalities. Ensures financial systems comply with applicable regulatory requirements, ITGC, and cybersecurity best practices. Partners with stakeholders to establish and maintain appropriate system-related internal controls and segregation of duties.
Oversees the training of staff on effectively using the finance business systems to meet the organization’s operational and strategic goals. Manages the training schedule for the Finance System Analysts.
Coordinates system development iterations, integrations, and testing of new module deployments within the business.
Lead business process enhancements through automation and analyze business data with the use of business intelligence to generate reports for effective business decisions.
Participate in system and process reviews and identify opportunities for significant enhancements in operational efficiency, overall effectiveness, and identifiable benefits to the organization.
Presentation of issues, needs, or recommendations related to the finance business systems before Senior Management
Supervise all data migration into the business payment system B4B to ensure payments are to authorized and genuine vendors of the organization.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelors in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
B.Sc in Information Systems or Any Relevant Science/Engineering Course
Job Context and Challenges:
Advanced understanding of Finance processes and IT principles
Technical knowledge of Finance business systems
Problem resolution and root cause analysis
Obtaining the buy-in of Senior Management on the needs observed.

Skills:
Financial ERP systems know-how and Project Management experience a must.
Excellent IT skills with a strong understanding of financial processes, systems, and reporting
Experience working on business intelligence/data warehousing and reporting systems
General understanding of various controls and risk assessment frameworks (such as COSO, COBIT, ERM, TOGAF, ISO27001, ITIL, etc.).
