Job Title: Fund Manager

Location: Lagos

Responsibilities

• The Fund Manager will work with our clients to help them maximize their investments. 
• Make investment decisions on behalf of clients in an effort to maximize returns and manage risks
• Analyse clients’ risk appetite and come up with investment strategies that will deliver the risk-return objectives of the clients.
• Manage the portfolios and make trading and rebalancing decisions to achieve the investment objectives
• Liaising with clients and their representatives to explore their investment preferences and appetite for risk
• Meeting with investment analysts and company managers to discuss clients’ needs
• Reading and attending financial briefings
• Keeping knowledge up-to-date about the Nigerian, African and Global economies, current financial news and financial markets
• Assessing and interpreting complicated financial information
• Communicating financial information accurately and simply to those without a background in this area
• Keeping detailed records and reports.
• Working closely with the Group Research team for thorough research and analysis of market trends to identify investment opportunities.
• Creating and managing investment portfolios according to a client's risk tolerance and financial goals.
• Regularly monitoring and reviewing performance of investment portfolios, and keeping detailed records and reports.
• Presenting investment strategies, market trends and financial analyses to stakeholders and clients.
• Working collaboratively with investment analysts to achieve desired investment outcomes.
• Ensuring compliance with investment regulations and guidelines.
• Making strategic decisions based on financial market trends, economic factors and client needs.

Requirements

• A Bachelor Degree in a quantitative discipline
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills

• Analytical and problem-solving skills

• A keen interest in and understanding of financial markets.
