Overview

• We’re seeking a highly skilled and experienced Azure CloudOps Systems Engineer to manage and optimize our cloud systems and infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain Azure-based cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability, reliability, and scalability.
• Manage cloud system administration tasks, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, ARM templates, or other similar tools.
• Optimize cloud resource utilization and cost efficiency through monitoring and performance tuning.
• Automate operational tasks using scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to deploy and maintain cloud solutions aligned with business needs.
• Lead incident response and problem management activities, including root cause analysis and preventive measures.
• Establish and maintain comprehensive cloud documentation, policies, and operational procedures.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements related to cloud security and data protection.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues, including networking, security, and performance concerns.
• Implement disaster recovery and backup solutions for business continuity.
• Implement and optimize cloud networking solutions, including VPNs, ExpressRoute, and Azure Firewall.
• Implement monitoring and alerting solutions using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
• Work closely with security teams to implement best practices for identity management, access controls, and threat detection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering or systems administration with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
• Strong expertise in Azure services including Virtual Machines, Azure AD, Networking, Security, Storage, and Monitoring.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or similar.
• Proficiency in automation and scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud security principles, identity management, and compliance frameworks.
• Strong written and verbal English skills are required for effective communication and collaboration.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills with cross-functional teams.
• Analytical thinking and attention to detail when troubleshooting and optimizing cloud systems.
• Ability to document architectures, procedures, and troubleshooting steps effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator Associate, or equivalent certification.
• Experience with hybrid cloud environments and multi-cloud strategies.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and service management best practices.
• Experience with serverless computing and microservices architecture.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native application development and API integrations.
