Assemble, install, align, adjust and fit subassemblies and parts or auxiliary equipment using appropriate tools and equipment as per work instructions.
Duties
Supervise Mechanical Assembler team and provide technical solutions to program execution at a sub-assembly, integration, and test level mechanical support.
Work closely with Production Planners to resolve schedule conflicts, part shortages and any other issues that may prevent Assembly from achieving schedules.
Track work-in-process status and updates schedules daily as work is completed.
Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blue print specifications and part lists.
Perform flow and/or pressure testing of assembly components.
Perform final assembly of units after final completion of testing and record applicable data as required.
Work with close tolerances and fits to meet engineering and operating requirements.
Gather parts, subassemblies, tools and materials.
Verify conformance of parts to assembly lists or blue prints before assembly.
Set and verify parts clearance.
Oversee all product development procedures to identify deviations from quality standards and report any quality issue to supervisor.
Position or align components for assembly manually or using hoist.
Assemble components by examining connections to correct fit; fastener parts.
Secure assembly using bolts, wrenches and other fasteners.
Perform rework and makes adjustments as required.
Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
Perform all work in accordance with quality standard and established safety procedure.
Interface with quality assurance and test personnel to ensure subassemblies are inspected and tested at specified checkpoints.
Train Assembly Team in proper assembly techniques, how to use routings, drawings and work instructions, proper use of tools and tooling.
Take up IMS responsibilities such as reporting unsafe act, condition or procedure in the work place, participating in fire or emergency drill at work, participating in incident reporting and investigation when necessary and adherence to Company policies.
Requirements
High School Degree, Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or equivalent is a plus.
5 - 7 years of proven work experience in mechanical assembly.
Other certifications in mechanical assembly is a plus.

Strong manual dexterity with the ability to work quickly with hands.
General knowledge of machines and equipment functionality.
Able to learn new systems quickly, understanding how parts relate, and how they impact system functionality.
Must be able to accurately read blueprints, assembly instructions, and other related documentation.
Able and willing to demonstrate eagerness, enthusiasm and optimism for work activities.
Able to process multiple types of information and/or perform multiple tasks simultaneously and the ability to follow work orders efficiently.
Able to comprehend and follow written work instructions.
Quality conscious and has great attention to detail.
Positive attitude, proactive and flexible with changes in production.
Must be able to assemble and retain knowledge of all assemblies.
Able to meet deadlines.
Strong problem solving skills.
Able to work under pressure.
