We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Human Resource and Administration Officer

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Overview

  • The Human Resource and Administration Officer manages the administrative and operational aspects of the Company’s human resources department, including managing employee records, processing payroll and benefits, and supporting HR processes. 
  • He/She acts as a first point of contact for employees with HR-related questions and concerns, and often support recruitment and onboarding efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update employee records, including personal information, employment contracts, and performance reviews.
  • Process payroll, manage employee benefits, and ensure accurate deductions and payments for staff monthly salary payslips
  • Assist with recruitment processes, such as job postings, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews.
  • Facilitate new employee onboarding, including providing necessary paperwork, setting up systems access, and organizing welcome meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures, and employment laws.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR data in databases and systems.
  • Respond to employee inquiries, resolving issues, and providing guidance on HR-related matters including salary advances
  • Prepare reports on HR metrics, such as turnover rates and employee satisfaction.
  • Organize and coordinate training programs and development opportunities for employees.

Skills Required

  • The ability to manage a large volume of tasks and paperwork.
  • Effective communication with employees, managers, and other stakeholders, including lawyers, union representatives, pension provider administrators, auditors etc.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure data integrity.
  • Familiarity with HR information systems and databases.
  • Understand all relevant regulations and local labour law requirements.
  • Professional qualification is Human Resources Management.
