Overview

• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Azure Cloud Ops - Cloud Administrator to oversee our cloud operations and infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. 
• The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Azure services, cloud security, automation, and operational best practices.
• This role will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our cloud environment while supporting cloud engineers and administrators. 

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee cloud administration tasks, ensuring optimal performance and security of Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Ensure high availability, reliability, and scalability of cloud environments through proactive monitoring and incident resolution.
• Implement and maintain Azure governance policies, cost management strategies, and security best practices.
• Optimize cloud resources and costs by evaluating and implementing performance improvements.
• Develop and enforce cloud automation strategies using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies such as ARM templates and Terraform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy cloud solutions that meet business and operational needs.
• Lead incident response and problem management activities, including root cause analysis and preventive measures.
• Establish and maintain comprehensive cloud documentation, policies, and operational procedures.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements related to cloud security and data protection.
• Provide technical expertise in troubleshooting complex Azure issues and optimizing cloud architecture.
• Implement disaster recovery and backup solutions for business continuity.
• Optimize cloud networking solutions, including VPNs, ExpressRoute, and Azure Firewall.
• Develop performance benchmarking and capacity planning strategies for cloud infrastructure. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in cloud administration with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
• Strong expertise in Azure services including Virtual Machines, Azure AD, Networking, Security, Storage, and Monitoring.
• Proficiency in automation and scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, ARM templates.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud security principles, identity management, and compliance frameworks.
• Strong written and verbal English skills are required for effective communication and collaboration.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Ability to document cloud architectures, operational procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
• Proactive approach to continuous improvement and operational excellence. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator Associate, or equivalent certification.
• Experience with hybrid cloud environments and multi-cloud strategies.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and service management best practices.
• Experience with serverless computing and microservices architecture.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native application development and API integrations.
