Job Description
We're looking for a commercially driven, strategic, and hands-on Head of Marketing to lead marketing across both arms of our business (eCommerce and Fintech)
This is a high-impact leadership role for an individual who excels at the intersection of brand, growth, and product marketing. You'll shape our go-to-market strategy, manage a high-performing team, and craft stories and campaigns that move people and key business metrics.
Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Leadership:
Define and evolve our marketing strategy across all business verticals.
Serve as the marketing voice at the leadership table, translating commercial priorities into actionable marketing roadmaps.
Lead, grow, and inspire a high-performing team across product marketing, brand, growth, content, and offline activation.
Champion customer-centricity and brand consistency across all touchpoints.
Growth & Product Marketing:
Partner with Product, Commercial, and Tech teams to plan and execute go-to-market strategies for new features and products.
Own the full product marketing lifecycle, from positioning and messaging to launch and post-launch adoption.
Own and optimise performance marketing across channels to drive efficient CAC, strong ROI, and business growth.
Utilise data, user feedback, and market insights to foster engagement, retention, and revenue growth.
Customer & Market Intelligence:
Lead segmentation, persona development, and market research to uncover new opportunities.
Turn insights into high-impact strategies across acquisition, activation, and lifecycle marketing.
Stay ahead of market trends and competitor moves.
Campaigns, Communication & Partnerships:
Drive integrated, 360° marketing campaigns across digital and offline channels (social, radio, OOH, activations, etc).
Manage external agencies and media partners to deliver excellence at scale.
Foster strong internal collaboration across Product, Sales, Operations, and Customer Success.
Budgeting & Performance:
Manage the marketing budget and ensure efficient allocation across teams and channels.
Define clear KPIs and track performance to optimise impact and ROI continually.
Present marketing performance, insights, and forecasts to leadership and key stakeholders.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (MBA or advanced degree is a plus).
8+ years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, ideally in Fintech, eCommerce, consumer tech, or high-growth startups.
Proven success in building and executing marketing strategies that drive measurable growth and brand love.
Strong leadership and team-building skills with experience managing multi-functional teams.
Analytical and data-driven, you leverage insights to refine storytelling and strategy.
Creative, energetic, and hands-on. You thrive in dynamic environments and get things done.
Familiar with the nuances of Nigeria's informal retail landscape or financial inclusion opportunities.
Experience with marketing automation tools, CRMs, and analytics platforms (Zoho, GA, Power BI, etc.).
