Job Title: French Language Teacher
Location: Lekki, Lagos

Position Summary
We seek a passionate and skilled French Language Educator to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering students' ability to communicate effectively in French while developing their appreciation of French-speaking cultures.
You will design and deliver engaging lessons tailored to different proficiency levels and learning styles, and contribute meaningfully to the holistic education of our learners.
Key Responsibilities
Instruction and Language Development:
Deliver engaging lessons in spoken and written French to primary school students.
Clearly explain French vocabulary, grammar, and sentence structure.
Adapt teaching techniques to support various learning abilities and backgrounds.
Curriculum and Lesson Planning:
Assess students’ current language skills to develop personalized lesson plans.
Design a progressive curriculum that aligns with national/international standards.
Incorporate multimedia and interactive tools to enhance language acquisition.
Assessment and Feedback:
Create and administer formal and informal assessments (written, oral, and interactive).
Provide constructive, timely feedback to support student growth and development.
Maintain records of student performance and use them to inform instructional strategies.
Cultural Integration:
Organize activities and events that immerse students in the French language and culture.
Facilitate cultural appreciation through music, art, films, cuisine, and themed celebrations.
Encourage interactions with native or fluent French speakers and communities.
Resource and Material Development:
Develop and curate learning resources, including worksheets, games, and online tools.
Stay updated on new methods, tools, and technologies in French language instruction.
Administrative Support:
Take accurate records of student attendance and academic progress.
Ensure classroom management practices support a safe, inclusive, and productive learning environment.
Qualifications and Requirements
A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in French Language, French Literature, or related field with 3 - 5 years work experience.
A teaching qualification (PGDE, B.Ed, or equivalent) is preferred.
Demonstrated proficiency in spoken and written French.
Strong classroom management and lesson delivery skills.
Tech-savvy: proficient in Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and online educational platforms.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Creativity, patience, and enthusiasm for teaching young learners.
Strong work ethic, punctuality, and attention to detail.
