About the Job
The Plant Quality & Environment Manager plays a critical leadership role in safeguarding product integrity, championing regulatory compliance, and embedding a culture of quality and food safety excellence.
You will lead the implementation of Coca-Cola Hellenic’s Operating Requirements (KORE) and globally recognized ISO standards to ensure our beverages are consistently safe, high-quality and environmentally sustainable.
Your Key Responsibilities
Drive a strong Quality & Food Safety culture through the deployment of Culture Excellence programs, including Back to Basics (B2B) and Critical to Quality Maintenance (CtQM), across the plant.
Translate national and group-level QFS strategies into actionable plant-level initiatives.
Champion the execution of QFS improvement plans, audits, and compliance initiatives in collaboration with Production, Maintenance, Logistics, and HSE functions.
Facilitate capability-building and knowledge transfer on QFS practices across all organizational levels.
Ensure adherence to internal standards of Coca-Cola Hellenic’s Operating Requirements (KORE), ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
Lead product release systems, customer complaint investigations, root cause analyses (RCA), and corrective actions.
Oversee the accurate reporting of QFS metrics and KPIs, ensuring data integrity and insight-driven actions.
Support new production introductions and validations, ensuring compliance with quality and food safety validation protocols.
Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies and manage regulators such as NAFDAC, SON, State and Federal Environmental Agencies.
Proactively ensure the plant meets or exceeds all statutory and environmental compliance requirements.
Requirements
Is this you:
A bachelor’s Degree in one of the following disciplines is mandatory: Food Science / Food Technology, Microbiology, Industrial Chemistry, Biochemistry, Environmental Science or related disciplines.
Professional certifications such as ISO 9001, ISO 22000 / FSSC 22000 Lead Auditor, HACCP Certification (Level 3 or above), NEBOSH / Environmental Compliance Certification
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in the food & beverage or FMCG industry with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role overseeing plant-level quality or food safety systems
Proven experience in a leadership role within Quality, Food Safety, or Environmental Management. Specifically, in the FMCG/Food & Beverage sector.
Deep understanding of ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, HACCP, Food Defence/Fraud, Packaging Quality, Microbiology, and Food Chemistry.
Strong familiarity with regulatory requirements on product labelling, food additives, traceability, and environmental compliance.
Skilled in audit readiness, non-conformance management, and structured problem-solving tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone, CAPA).
Strategic mindset with the ability to influence across all levels of the organisation.
Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Results-driven, with a continuous improvement mindset and strong ownership culture.
